A tough week just finished in Val Di Sole, Italie for the 6th round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.

As always the track here was a real battle with roots rocks and dust but it seems that this year the conditions were even harder. Unfortunately, we had to count out our junior Simon Chapelet due to a broken scaphoid, Simon gonna take the time to heal this tricky injury.

For Mick, Val Di Sole track has always been a challenge and this year with the weather condition changing it made the Qualification really tricky, Mick had a re-run in qualification but he made it.

It’s also important to note that our helmet partner Bluegrass made a custom helmet in Memory of Corrado Herin the Italian legend that past away earlier this year. Mick has ridden this helmet all week and the helmet has been given away to the family on the podium at the end of the race.

For Alex Val Di Sole is one of his favorites track, Alex had a big crash in qualification and still qualified 24th, in final Alex was on a very good run but Alex went out of the track and lost 20 seconds, bummer for Alex who has the speed , we keep our finger crossed so he can finally do a full speed race run.

For Tracey this week was a mixed week, she started the week well winning the qualification scoring some good points. In final after the heavy rain, the track was still slippery Tracey rode well at the start but then she started to be in a bad rhythm, making few mistakes so, in the end, she rode smart to take the 2nd position.

The good news is that Tracey is still leading comfortably the world cup overall and focus to keep riding smart.

Next week we will be already back in action with the 7th world cup round in Switzerland.
