Features
  • Always in control

From the sharpest corners to gnarly roots, the steep seat tube angle and active suspension design ensures that the bike will always be planted on the ground.

  • There’s no momentum without speed

The Siskiu TE includes a slack and supportive 65° head angle and short offset fork for a long trail factor in the front end. Combine this with the 29” wheel size to provide stability and high-speed composure for a confidence inspiring feel up and down the trails

  • Won’t choose one between agility and fast

The Siskiu TE flip-chip allows riders to adjust their rear end geometry, when deciding to run a mullet setup. When there’s a smaller rear wheel, the flip chip should be in its tallest position to keep the rear centre high. When swapping to a 29” rear wheel the flip chip allows the frame to drop down, keeping a consistent riding position between wheel sizes.

  • Power with precision

The Siskiu T6E features EP600 and the T7E features EP800 motor, both providing 85Nm of torque for solid performance. Boasting 85Nm of torque from a lightweight 2.6kg motor and 36% less drag than the previous E8000 generation. The EP8 rolls on the power in a smooth and predictable way. Rigid, durable and dependable for confidence on any adventure.

FAQ
  • The bike comes with 29x2.6” tires front and rear. Can I fit 27.5” wheels to convert it to a ‘mullet’ set up?

Yes, There is a flip chip that can be used for setting up a BB position based on rear wheel size set up; as a mullet 27.5/29” or a full 29”. When the flip chip is in the high position, the bottom bracket height becomes higher; it improves pedaling clearance, enabling riders to pedal through rocky and rooty terrain and vice versa.

  • Can I use a different rear shock?

The bike comes with a 210mm x 55mm twin eyelet shock, you are able to change the shock with the same size. However, it’s worth noting that Polygon has a specific tune on their stock rear shocks to work best with the specific bike platform, If looking to replace the shock make sure to have the damper and spring setting tuned for the platform for optimized performance.

  • Can I change the fork?

The standard forks are 150mm travel, but you can run up to 160mm travel single-crown fork if you like. It is not tested to withstand the forces of a dual crown fork.

  • Can Siskiu TE fit a chain guide?

For sure. In fact, the Siskiu TE comes equipped with a Shimano chain guide mounting to the drive unit.

  • What size rotors can I use?

The bike comes fitted with 203 mm rotors. You can run up to 203mm rotor on the rear and 220 on the front. The minimum size you can go is 180mm. The bike comes standard with 200mm both front and rear.

  • How can I maximize its pedal assist and the battery lifetime as well?

Shimano STEPS e-MTB drive systems provide 4 power modes; Eco, Trail, Boost and Walk-Assist; and its E-TUBE PROJECT app lets you customize the assistance of each mode to your personal preferences.
We recommend only shifting one gear at a time (up or down the cassette) and try to back off the power through the cranks a little as the integrated torque sensor will immediately react and also back off the motor’s power. Trail mode is much more intuitive with this than Boost mode. We recommend saving Boost mode for cranking straight-up big climbs where gear shifting is limited.

  • How do I remove the battery?

Insert a 4mm Allen key into the hole above the battery cover on the underside of the downtube. Rotate it in the direction depicted by the arrow to release the battery lock. This will allow the battery to hang slightly down from the tube, creating access to the battery release lever at the top of the battery. Be sure to use two hands when releasing the battery as it’s quite heavy and shouldn’t be dropped.

  • How do I install the battery?

Ensure the battery connections are clean and dry. Install the base of the battery into the lower mount closest to the motor, then press the top of the battery into the downtube until you hear and feel a “click”. Then your battery is installed.

  • How do I charge the battery?

The battery can be charged either installed in the bike, via the charging port on the left side in front of the motor, or detached from the bike using the additional connection port supplied with the charger.

  • I like to ride in mud, are the electronics weather-proof?

Yes. The SHIMANO STEPS systems are waterproof for use under normal riding conditions, including heavy rain. Please do not use a high pressure washer to clean your bike.

  • How fast can I ride?

When gravity is on your side, there is no limiting your speed beyond that of a “normal” MTB with 160mm of awesome suspension. As far as motor assistance is concerned, the Shimano STEPS systems will provide motor assistance up to 20mph (32km/h) in the USA and Indonesia, or 25km/h in Europe and Australia.

  • How far can I ride?

The range of any e-MTB depends on many variables, including terrain, gradients, rider weight, assistance mode, rider input, ambient temperature, etc. While 100km adventures are definitely achievable aboard the Collosus N8e, we recommend using the range overview on the display for the best estimate. The range overview is recalculated continuously by calculating speed, rider behavior, and power consumption. This means that range overview makes a prediction, which can vary depending on these different factors.

  • What is included in the standard warranty?

The electricity components equipped on E-bike, click here for more details.

  • Do you have a spare battery? How much does it cost?

Stay tuned on our website and social media, we will announce further for the availability.

  • Can the Siskiu TE fit a larger battery?

The bikes are supplied with Shimano’s E-bike system. The T7E is supplied with Shimano BT-8036 630Wh whereas the T6E is supplied with the lower BT-E8035 504Wh. The T6E will fit a larger battery capacity, the same as the T7E (BT-8036 630Wh)

  • Can I run a headlight from the Shimano battery?

Yes. Shimano approved front lights can be connected to ports in the STEPS drive unit (motor). This requires significant internal routing and e-system component removal so we recommend having this upgrade made by a certified Shimano STEPS workshop.

  • The display states W013 error code and the motor has no power. How can I fix it?

W013 is likely the most common error for first time STEPS users. Officially, W013 means Initialization of torque sensor not completed successfully. Don’t fret. It typically occurs when the system is turned on while a load is applied to the crankset. Try turning the system off, ensuring your foot is not on a pedal and the cranks or pedals are not leaning on the ground or against a wall; then turn the system back on again. This should solve the issue.
If you still see the issue try a 'hard reset' - press the power button for 12 seconds and power on once again.
If W013 or any other error code persists, contact your place of purchase or a certified Shimano STEPS workshop.

  • I want my drivetrain to last a long time. Are there any tricks to smooth shifting on an e-MTB?

While Shimano’s drivetrains offer very smooth shifting even under the load, we recommend only shifting one gear at a time (up or down the cassette) and try to back off the power through the cranks a little as the integrated torque sensor will immediately react and also back off the motor’s power. Trail mode is much more intuitive with this than Boost mode. We recommend saving Boost mode for cranking straight up big climbs where gear shifting is limited.
