POLYGON UR: AT LES ORRES DH FRENCH CUP WITH INTERNATIONAL FIELD
Last week the DH team got back together and spent a week in Morzine testing and training. On Friday, Tracey, Mick and Joe traveled to Les Orres for a DH French Cup that had a lot of international riders taking part. The track was really amazing with a mix of everything. 7 months without racing is pretty long but Tracey showed that she hasn’t lost her speed and finished 3rd in the same second of Marine Cabirou and Myriam Nicole, so a good result for Tracey which was there just for training
“It was a hard race, one day of practice then quali and race the next day. Definitely weird to race after 7 months off from being between the tape. It was really fun and amazing to ride a different track from home. Thanks team!” -Tracey Hannah
Mick pleased the crowd with a few no handers along the way. Rumor is, he did 8 in one practice run! It was a 16th place for Mick.
“It was awesome to finally get to see everyone and race. It was a shock to the system racing a big course against guys who have been racing hard the last few weeks, but I was happy with my progress through the weekend. It feels great to be racing again!” -Mick Hannah
After a bit of trouble with a shoulder, Joe was happy to be able to race and finished 18th.
“Coming into the weekend I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to race due to an injury to my shoulder. Fortunately it held up well which I am stoked about and was great to get the team back together for a competitive race on an awesome track. Work to be done, but really excited for the next few weeks racing with the team”. -Joe Breeden
The team is now heading back to Morzine for the week and will be racing in Les Gets on the weekend!
