Polygon Team Riders In Action During The Enduro World Series

The Polygon Factory Racing team officially entered the professional enduro racing scene at this year’s Enduro World Series (EWS), marking a milestone for both the riders and the brand. The EWS represents the highest level of mountain biking competition — a thrilling blend of endurance, precision, and adventure.

EWS #1 Tweed Valley: A wild start at the UK’s best downhill trails

Enduro World Series Round 1 At Tweed Valley, Scotland

Despite a week of rain, the skies cleared just in time for an incredible start to the season at Tweed Valley, Scotland (June 4–5, 2022). The course was in perfect shape, setting the stage for high-speed action on some of the most iconic mountain bike trails in the UK.

The Pro Stage kicked off Saturday afternoon — a high-speed section designed to deliver both intensity for racers and excitement for fans. It also offered valuable bonus points that could make or break early standings. Brady Stone came out strong, going full gas to secure 25th place.

“The trails were running dry and fast, which made for a smooth run into 25th. I’m really happy to start the season off with this result,” – Brady Stone.

Sunday brought five challenging stages, including the legendary Big Baw trail for the Queen Stage. Matt Stuttard showcased his technical mastery, earning 14th on one of the toughest runs of the day.

“It’s so good to be back racing! I last raced 11-months ago since I snapped my collar bone. Loved every minute of it – buzzing to be back,” – Matt Stuttard.

Team Captain Dan Wolfe shared the team’s debut journey with over 1.5 million PinkBike followers through a series of Instagram Stories, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Polygon Factory Racing’s first official race weekend.

“Tweed Valley was the most hotly contested event to start with. A great success for the first outing of Polygon Factory Racing – I am very proud of the lads!” – Dan Wolfe

EWS #2 Petzen-Jamnica: Rocky, rough, steep, and super-physical

Polygon Factory Racing At Ews Round 2 Petzen–Jamnica

Round two of the Enduro World Series tested the riders’ endurance like never before. The unique format saw competitors race across two countries in a single weekend — starting in Petzen, Austria on June 18 and finishing in Jamnica, Slovenia on June 19. The demanding five-stage course spanned 40 km with over 3,100 vertical metres of descent — making it one of the most punishing events of the season.

After a successful shakedown, Dan Wolfe faced setbacks due to shoulder issues from a previous surgery, forcing him to sit this one out. Still, he remained trackside, cheering on teammates and offering live coverage on PinkBike’s social channels.

The Pro Stage in Austria was legendary — 6 km long with over 1,000 metres of descent. It was an all-out test of stamina and control. Riders battled rocky, steep, and relentless terrain for over 13 minutes of pure focus.

Day two in Slovenia brought intense heat and brutal conditions. Brady Stone faced a mechanical issue in Stage 3 but managed to bounce back, securing the team’s first top-10 stage finish and ending the weekend 27th overall.

“What a race! Loved the long tracks but they were brutal to race.” – Brady Stone

Matt Stuttard finished just three seconds behind Brady, taking 14th in the final stage and 28th overall.

“Petzen was a brutally tough event – from the heat to the tracks, there was no let up. We look forward to the next round in Italy.” – Dan Wolfe

EWS #3 Val di Fassa: Towering rock spires, ridge lines, and a turnaround

Polygon Factory Racing Taking On Ews Round 3 In Italy

The third round of the Enduro World Series took place in Val di Fassa Trentino, deep in the Italian Dolomites — a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its breathtaking peaks and ridge lines that challenge even the most seasoned MTB riders.

The short, pedal-heavy Pro Stage presented technical obstacles where even minor mistakes could cost precious seconds. Brady Stone, riding through wrist pain after a practice crash, still managed to finish just outside the top 50.

Meanwhile, Matt Stuttard had a slower start, placing 72nd in the Pro Stage. But as a veteran mountain bike racer, he knew the race was far from over.

Day two saw an impressive comeback. Matt pushed hard on some of the most demanding MTB trails in Europe, grabbing a top 10 in Stage 3 and finishing 11th in the Queen Stage — the iconic Tutti Frutti track — one of the Dolomites’ longest and most scenic descents. He closed the weekend 18th overall, securing Polygon’s first top-20 result of the season.

“Happy with that! From 72nd to 18th today – I had to dig deep on some brutal stages.” ~ Matt Stuttard

Brady Stone delivered a solid performance on day two with a top-30 finish in Stage 2, climbing from 51st to 39th overall.

Wrapping up the first leg of the Enduro World Series

“I’m so proud of the whole team’s efforts and results throughout this first block of EWS races. Our mechanic, Josh Morris, has gone above and beyond in his support of the new team. Top 10 Stage finishes from Brady in Slovenia then Matt in Italy, culminating with Matt’s Top 20 overall cements the ability of these guys in the most technical and demanding trails. Dan’s dug so deep to help bring everything together as Team Captain while, despite injury, performing both on track and as PinkBike’s face-of-enduro.

A huge thanks to the team sponsors for all their support; DHaRCO, BikeYoke, FSA and Kenda – we can’t wait to see what we can do together as Dan, Brady and Matt touch down in North America in August!” ~ Dave Musgrove, PFR Team Manager

After an incredible run across Europe, Polygon Factory Racing will take a short break before heading to North America for the next rounds of the Enduro World Series, including Whistler, Burke, and Sugarloaf. The team is ready to recharge, regroup, and return stronger than ever.
