The team at MTBIKING walked away impressed after their first ride preview of our XQUARONE EX, a long-travel MTB designed to rethink what a modern mountain bike can do.
Built around 27.5-inch wheels with 180mm of rear travel, the XQUARONE EX uses the innovative R3ACT suspension system, created with industry veteran Darrell Voss.
Unlike traditional designs, the sliding lower link hidden inside the swingarm allows the bike to stay efficient while still feeling planted on rough descents, combining the control of a downhill MTB with the pedaling efficiency of a trail bike.
MTBIKING highlighted how the anti-squat characteristics are so effective that Polygon runs a custom-tuned FOX X2 shock with significantly reduced damping, meaning smoother acceleration, less pedal bob, and more speed everywhere.
Modern geometry completes the package: longer reach, super-short chainstays, a balanced 66-degree head angle, and clearance for 2.6-inch tires.
Riders can choose between two builds. The premium XQUARONE EX9 and the performance-driven EX8, both equipped with Factory-level FOX suspension and high-end drivetrains.
