POLYGON WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Warranty Coverage:

  1. Bicycle Frame & Non-Suspension Fork
    The warranty covers manufacturing defects or faults in Polygon bicycle frames and non-suspension forks for the specified warranty period.
  2. E-Bike Components
    The warranty covers electrical components (such as the motor, controller, display, battery, sensors, and charger), as well as E-bike spare parts (excluding Shimano and Bosch) installed on Polygon E-bikes.
  3. Suspension Components & Dropper Post
    • Suspension components (including suspension forks and rear shocks) as well as dropper posts are not covered under the Polygon warranty.
    • Warranty for these components follows the official terms of their respective manufacturers (e.g., FOX, RockShox, SR Suntour, etc.).
  4. Finishing (Paint & Stickers/Decals)
    Changes in color, fading, peeling, or damage to paint and stickers/decals due to normal use, weather exposure, cleaning chemicals, or environmental factors are not covered under warranty.
  5. Wear and Tear Components (Consumable Parts)
    • The warranty does not cover components that are designed to wear over time, such as: Bearings, bushings, tires and inner tubes, rims, brake pads, cables, housings, brake/shifter hoses, chains, sprockets/gears, handlebar grips, bar tape, and saddles.
    • The rate of wear depends on usage intensity, load, road conditions, weather, and maintenance.

*Applicable only to E-bike kits from the brands Bafang, Ananda, Greenway, and Entity.
*For E-bike kits from Shimano, customers will be directed to the Shimano Service Center for initial handling.
*For E-bike kits from Bosch, customers in Active Service Center areas will be assisted by the Bosch Service Center.
*For Bosch E-bike kits in Passive Service Center areas, assistance will be provided by Polygon.

Polygon Warranty Terms & Conditions:

  1. Authorized Purchase
    • The bicycle or frame must be purchased through Polygon’s authorized sales network (official dealers/retailers), as evidenced by a sales receipt/invoice, e-invoice, or warranty card.
    • The bicycle or frame may also be purchased through Polygon’s official online store at www.polygonbikes.com.
  2. Original Ownership
    • The warranty applies only to the original registered owner of the bicycle/frame.
    • The warranty is non-transferable. If the bicycle is sold or ownership is transferred, the warranty will no longer be valid.
  3. Product Registration
    • Product registration must be completed within a maximum of 3 months from the date of purchase. Failure to register, or registration beyond this period, may result in forfeiture of warranty rights at Polygon’s discretion.
    • The product (bicycle or frame) must be registered through:
      → The official website: www.polygonbikes.com.
      → An authorized Polygon dealer/retailer at the time of purchase.
      *Registration is used for ownership verification and warranty claim validation.
  4. Complete Documentation
    • Customers must retain proof of purchase (receipt/invoice/e-invoice) and the frame serial number.
    • Polygon reserves the right to reject warranty claims if valid proof of purchase is not provided.

Polygon Warranty Does Not Apply Under the Following Conditions:

  1. Bicycle Modifications
    • The bicycle has undergone non-technical modifications (e.g., repainting, polishing, or the addition of permanent stickers/accessories) that may affect the structure or product identity.
    • The bicycle has undergone technical modifications that are not in accordance with the original specifications or intended use of the product (refer to detailed specifications at www.polygonbikes.com).
    • Use of spare parts, accessories, or component upgrades that do not meet technical and safety standards for cycling.
    • Installation or assembly not performed by an authorized Polygon technician or retailer.
  2. Improper Use
    • The bicycle is used excessively, improperly, or outside its intended category (e.g., an XC bike used for freeride/downhill, trekking bikes used for gravel, etc.).
    • The bicycle is used for competitions, commercial activities (rental, bike sharing, courier services), or purposes other than its intended use.
    • Electric bicycles (E-bikes) are used without following the specified limits for speed, power, and load.
    • Bicycles used by professional athletes or brand ambassadors that were not obtained through official purchase from a Polygon distributor/dealer.
  3. User Negligence
    • Damage caused by failure to follow the care and usage guidelines (Owner’s Manual).
    • Failure to perform regular maintenance (e.g., suspension servicing, bolt checks, drivetrain maintenance).
    • Storage in unsuitable environments (humid, corrosive, or prolonged exposure to sunlight/extreme temperatures).
  4. Accidents & Uncontrollable Conditions
    • Damage resulting from rider negligence or accidents such as collisions, falls, or similar external forces.
      Wear and tear due to usage or lack of maintenance.
    • Force majeure events such as natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, fires, etc.).
    • Damage caused by corrosion.
    • Discoloration caused by environmental factors or cleaning products.
  5. Non-Official Retail Products
    • Ex-prototype bicycles, ex-demo bikes, promotional samples, or units not intended for / not obtained through official retail sales by Polygon.

Polygon Bicycle Warranty Claim Procedure:

  1. Initial Contact
    • Contact an authorized Polygon dealer/place of purchase to report the issue.
    • Customers may also reach out through Polygon’s official channels or via email at info@polygonbikes.com.
  2. Submission at Authorized Dealer
    • Bring the bicycle along with supporting documents to an authorized Polygon dealer/place of purchase, including a valid ID and proof of purchase (receipt/invoice/e-invoice).
  3. Required Documents & Information
    • The dealer will forward the warranty claim to the Polygon Claims Team with the following:
      1. Bicycle frame serial number and a photo of the frame number located at the bottom bracket (BB) area.
      2. Original purchase invoice / proof of purchase (receipt/invoice/e-invoice) or proof of product registration on Polygon’s website.
      3. A full photo of the bicycle for unit verification (right-side view).
      4. Clear and detailed photos of the affected bicycle part or component.
      5. Video if it is not possible to carry out investigation/verification based on photos.
  4. Shipment of Components/Bicycle (If Required)
    • Polygon may request the physical bicycle or the affected component to be sent to the Polygon factory/warehouse for inspection, verification, and further investigation.
    • Shipping costs for sending the bicycle or components to the factory will be borne by the customer.
  5. Inspection Process & Decision
    • The Polygon Claims Team will conduct a technical inspection of the reported issue/damage.
    • The final decision regarding the approval or rejection of the claim is at the sole discretion of Polygon and shall be final and binding.

Warranty For Third-Party Brand Components:

  1. Non-Polygon Components
    • All third-party branded components (non-Polygon), including suspension forks, rear shocks, dropper posts, groupsets, wheelsets, and other components, are covered in accordance with the official warranty terms of their respective brands.
  2. Claim Assistance
    • Polygon, through its authorized sales network, may assist in facilitating warranty claims for third-party components (terms and conditions apply). However, the approval process and final decision remain subject to the policies of the respective manufacturers.

*Please note: Not all component brands provide after-sales service.

Warranty Limitations:

  1. Warranty Resolution
    Unless otherwise stated in writing, warranty claims will be resolved as follows:
    • Polygon reserves the right to update warranty terms at any time in accordance with company policies and technological developments.
    • Replacement of defective or damaged products/components with the same unit, replacement with a similar product/component, or substitution with another product of equal or higher value at Polygon’s discretion.
    • Polygon is not obligated to provide refunds unless required by applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Limitation of Liability
    Polygon shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind, whether direct or indirect, intentional or unintentional, including but not limited to:
    • Personal injury.
    • Property damage.
    • Economic loss.
    • Loss of use or interruption of activities arising from the use of the product, negligence, or in connection with any contract, agreement, or legal theory.
  3. Labor & Service Costs
    • If a warranty claim is approved and processed, all costs related to disassembly, reassembly, and readjustment of components or frames shall be borne by the owner/customer.
  4. Loss of Use During Claim Process
    • Polygon shall not be responsible for any costs, losses, or inconvenience arising from the loss of use of the bicycle/components during the inspection and warranty claim process.
  5. Shipping Costs
    • Polygon does not cover shipping costs for replacement products/components sent directly to customers. All shipping costs shall be fully borne by the customer
