It took exactly one lap down Whistler Bike Park’s A-Line for Nick to get hooked on mountain biking four years ago, and he hasn’t really stopped since – hoots, hollers, a couple of hospital visits, and a steady stream of MTB<\/strong><\/a> videos included. These days he calls Kelowna, BC home, and he’s bringing a Collosus N8<\/strong><\/a> along for the ride: an enduro mountain bike<\/strong><\/a> suited to the kind of aggressive, all-mountain riding that got him into this sport in the first place.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n But bikes are actually the second act of Nick’s story. Long before A-Line, he was pizza-ing his way down the bunny hill at Edmonton Ski Club at age six, which eventually turned into a slopestyle and big air career competing across Canada. A fractured L5 vertebra at 17 put a hard stop to that, or so it seemed, until a YouTube channel he started during recovery connected him with a community of thousands who shared his obsession with the sport.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n That channel became the bridge back to real mountains once he healed up, and from there his world only got bigger: skiing alongside childhood heroes, filming world records, and eventually landing in the Crankworx commentary booth, all before mountain biking even entered the picture.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n “<\/em>Sometimes, what seem like the biggest hurdles in life can create the most beautiful opportunities.”<\/em> \u2014 Nick Riemer<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n Between the ski edits, the commentary gigs, and now a Polygon in the garage, Nick’s become something of a connector between two communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n Catch his latest adventures on:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
