Crankworx kicked off on a Wednesday night with the Whip Off Champs. Alex Fayolle sent it sideways on this huge jump with such a beautiful scenic back drop.

The next day followed with Dual Slalom. Fabien qualified mid pack but a crash at practice made him quite sore and he came out at the 16th of finals against the always fast Mitch Ropelato.

Friday was time for our man Sam Reynolds to get back on the international racing scene after breaking his wrist at Dark Fest back in February. Some bad luck made Sam miss the first day of practice of Speed & Style but he still qualified 3rd fastest! It’s a track that Sam likes and that suits him, remember he did 3rd the first year and 2nd last year.

Sam was super fast and throwing some good tricks. Semi final was super tight between him and Martin Soderstrom but Sam would have to go to the small final. We thought the bronze medal was his until he crashed after crossing the finish line which cost him major points. It would have to be a 4th place for Sam. We are still pretty stoked to see Sam perform so well after being injured!

Our final Crankworx day was for DH! This year our riders raced on a brand new track that finished in the main village which was great for spectators. The only down side is that the track was pretty flat and since it was all new, it would change everyday with new roots and rocks appearing.

Mick was feeling great and knew he could do well on this track. He missed the podium by 0.6 after making a small mistake and he would need to settle for a 4th place.

Tracey was still on a high from an awesome performance at Leogang. She was drained though and had to give it all on this physical track. She had won the 2 previous years on the old race track and wanted to make it a 3rd time.

She won with a margin of 8 secondes! We are happy to see Tracey at the top of her game.

Again thanks to all for your support, it means everything to us!
