Last weekend UR TEAM were in Monterey, California for the Sea Otter Classic. It was good to connect with a lot of our sponsors at the show to plan more our season and catch up on product development.

Fabien took part of the famous Dual Slalom. The track had changed a bit this year with a more natural design. The condition of the track were super dry and loose!

Fabien was racing on his Siskiu N9 with 29″ wheels, not your typical Dual bike but he was feeling good on it as the track required a lot of traction. Practice went well, Fabien felt fast. He qualified mid-pack after a few mistakes.

On his 16th of final, he was against Loris Vergier who had qualified 1st that day. Fabien took him over and after couple rounds, made his way to semi final!

Semi final was against Mitch Ropelato who had won the year before. Fabien was able to beat him on the first round but wasn’t able to do it on the second one. He then gave it all in the small final for a chance of grabbing a medal. He stayed focused, gave it all and finished 3rd in a stacked field!

Even though Fabien’s main job is to manage the team, it’s sweet to see that on a good day with the bike working well, without pressure and while having fun, Couscous can sneak in a podium in the pro division!

The truck is now on its way to Maribor for the IXS cup before the first World Cup of the year there.
